Dayton 3VU33 Heater, Space, 120v

Bought this heater for my greenhouse and it's ok. Would work better if you could actually adjust the temperature without moving the knob and trying to guess where you're at.

If you want direct heat and you want it now, buy this heater. It is good for a confined space. My son used it in the bathroom (or should I say reading room). However, you have to make sure you have an isolated plug as this heater draws the juice. It's nice a quiet. I'd recommend an oil filled heater if you are looking to keep a room warm for a long period of time. This is just a heat-me-up-now type of heater.

This heater is over rated. Although it's build is sturdy enough it's deceiving. It does not heat anything. I kept it on hi for over 24 hours in a small 200 square foot room and it did not warm it one bit. My guest froze his balls off! Believe it or not I also bought a Vornado 750 watt person space heater and it out performs much better. Enough said. Save your money on this one.

I bought two of these to keep our pipes from freezing in a home that had no heat. Work well, great safety features and will provide a quick and heat up of any room where you need it. I highly recommend it.

Dayton is a great company but this is no better than $30 Lasko or $60 Vornado. I have this Dayton in my garage and the Vornado. Works the exact same. Just FYI. Nothing against Dayton but either get one of their mounted 240V heaters or just a simple Lasko.

Maintains a constant room temperature that can be changed by a slight turn of a knob. My family room is 12' x 20' on the side of the house and the furnace doesn't heat it much. It's very quite.

Heater arrived on time and as described. The heater provides heat required in my greenhouse. Would recommend this product for use in greenhouses.

To be succinct: this product, made in China, is crap. The temperature control failed in the first dozen times or so. It melted. We used it for a couple of more winters, manually turning it on and off. The third season the fan failed and we trashed it. I do not recommend this device. Grainger's has come down in their product quality.
