Normally, it doesn't have a valve. The garden hose or garden hose splitter are often with valve. **Q: What is the size of replacement o-ring dos it use?** A: I couldn't find suitable o rings for replacements here, so had to but new fittings when the o ring gave out. I can easily switch my hoses from the garden to the animals and back again. They have saved me so much time. They are very heavy duty and have held up well. Sometimes dirt gets in them and makes them not work right, but I just rinse them off and they are good to go. I haven't used them in the winter yet, and I am curious to see how that goes. I am thinking they may freeze up and I will have to warm them up a bit, but I don't see any real issues there.
