**Q: Do these fliters stop tar getting on your chest?**
A: To a certain degree. I have mild asthma and rather than irritate the condition vaping seems to alleviate it.  Keep your glass mouth piece clean I find rubbing alcohol does the job well. Be careful glass not robust and soon breaks. Good idea to have a backup glass mouth piece
