But you may feel more reassured buying it from a saxophone store who recheck it for you- the choice is yours and being happy with your purchase is the main thing. **Q: Is the saxophone checked over is it ready to play** A: Yes just remember to remove cork plugs under keys used to protect them during shipping **Q: I will be a first time player...what other accessories will I need to get going apart from a manual?** A: Hi It comes pretty complete but I would suggest getting a pad saver/brush for the main body of the instrument and a neck brush too ( they’re really not expensive) later you may consider a bell brush but that can wait. I would advise getting a sturdy saxophone stand and once you start blowing you will need to buy reeds regularly ( your embouchure will change and they wear out!!) you may want to get some mouthpiece cushions ( adhesive rubber pads that go on the mouthpiece)-these are very inexpensive.
