The first pair I used them for over 4 years for Stand Up Paddle to have a better grip on the board. It's great to be able to walk right over the rocks in the ocean. And recently, I wore them on my trip to Hawaii on a muddy hiking trail. They held up very well and they are extremely comfortable to wear. The nice part was that I could easily rinse them off. I usually wear a woman's 8 size shoe and purchased a size 7 mens. The fit is perfect with a comfortable wide width. These shoes are easy to put on and take off, unlike surf booties. I don't recommend wearing them all day because it gets a little bit too hot and sweaty, but perfect for a few hours at a time. My soles feel very protected and my feet stay some what warm in cold water. It's getting harder to find these shoes (since there was a law suit against these types of shoes) and I'm hoping they won't take it off the market when I need to buy a new pair in 4 years. I know to many people, these shoes look ridiculous, but in my opinion, it's been a life saver and the same people are jealous when they are screaming walking over rocks in the water. The first time was from a sports store, and I love these shoes. So comfortable. Very comfortable.....the right is a bit snug but do-able. I've only wore them for several hours thus far. Once to the pool at a resort and then a sandy beach lake. I'm pretty happy them. First pair of Toed shoes I have owned and it's not that bad to get use too. I like that you can adjust the strap across the foot and at the heel. Last test will come in a few weeks when I'm at the Ocean for a week.
