    Cheap Chinese Remake

This is not the original model.  This is a remake.  On our original remote, the battery compartment broke, so we bought this one, thinking it was the same thing.  It is roughly the same but the buttons are harder to push, and the battery compartment is just different enough that you can't use this lid on the old remote.  So, we set up the remote with the dvd player.  It worked for all of 1 week before it stopped working completely.  And Amazon won't let me return it now.
