The shells were really white and I initially thought that they might have been soaked in some sort of solution to bleach them. I thought this might have weakened them and that they would not survive being fired in a high temperature(2300°f) kiln. Well, they did survive the firing and I got some awesome whiskey sipper from this firing. Will be ordering more in all the sizes available! Only about 2 out of the entire package came slightly broken. Delivery was quick and they were wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them. The size, amount and color of the shells were all correct.
