Here is a "Before and after" video of installing "aFe Air Intake System" on my 2010 model Golf GTI. Unfortunately the sound quality of the video is not so good, but still the Turbo whistle and Blow-off can be heard.The installation was fairly easy (considering my very basic toolbox), the clamp on the Coupling over the Turbo gave me some hard time because I didn't have the right tool for it, but other than that everything else were quite straight forward.About the performance, I can feel the extra power. It's rated to add another 14hp. Though, I'm not sure about 14hp, but I can feel around 8 to 9hp more easy. I absolutely love the Turbo whistle and the Blow-off sound. It's not too loud, nothing close to some STIs out there(!), but with windows down, it's easily noticeable. With windows up, the blow-off sound at each gear shift could be easily heard up to the fifth gear, but not much at 5th and 6th gears at those relatively higher speeds.The only thing that I'm not happy about is a little vibration that I feel at about 3500rpm to 5000rpm. It's more noticeable on the clutch pedal. I know that the ECU needs to be reconfigured/reprogrammed for this Intake as it allows more air to flow to the engine. I heard that the ECU tries to adapt itself through the air-flow sensor, but yet after about a 1000 miles, it's still there (it's much less than the first day of installing the aFe filter). I suppose I have to adjust the ECU at some point. I have to note that the vibration is nothing harsh, just if you're very sensitive you feel it.I highly recommend it for Motorheads and Turbo junkies!Update (Feb 2014): There was nothing wrong with the Intake about the vibration felt in the cabin! aFe still recommends ECU reprogramming for optimum performance with this cold air intake. But it doesn't necessarily cause vibration, as it turned out that the cause of the vibration I was experiencing was due to a clash between one of the intake's components and a part of the engine (read the details in the comments posted below). I rectified that clash and now there is no vibration at all at any RPM. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy customer *by A***O on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2019* Happy customer ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ AFe Intake fitted on a 2012 Beetle! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2013* I'm not too sure what people are complaining about on the reviews of this intake. They all pretty much do the same thing just what company you want to go with and preference. I think they shouldn't touch a car if they don't know what they are doing. I fitted this on my 2012 Beetle. You can only use 2 of the tabs mounted on the heat shield which isn't a problem it still mounts securely. Install was a breeze not too sure what else I could say. I do wish the elbow Afe supplied didnt have a stop on one end that fits to the filter hub it pops off while you are trying to tighten the clamp. And the crappy stock plastic holder on the breather hose that connects near the turbo sucks it snapped but thats while they make zip ties. Not too loud you can just hear the air rushing in more, but you know your car is breathing better now. I like that Afe also gave you the pre-filter bag, nice option. Pic of my car w/ intake installed
