So it is more like East African shea butter (Nilotica...sp?).Consistency is creamy and smell is good. There is a bit of plastic smell intermingled with the shea. Probably from the plastic package. But it doesn't smell at all like that once applied. On first opening the bag the shea butter was sweet and creamy, but within hours of exposure to the air, it turned hard and difficult to work with.
