I perceived it as a Historical novel and a tribute to all our men and women fighting to keep this wonderful country free. The details are overwhelming and graphic.  It saddens me to see all the sacrifices that were made by our brave military were made futile by our current leadership with the take over of the area by ISLE.  God save us from any more such incompetent leadership.

Comme le dit précisément l'auteur dans son introduction, il n'existait pas véritablement de livre exhaustif couvrant les deux batailles de Falloudjah. Ayant pour l'instant seulement survolé la majeure partie du livre, je le trouve très bien écrit, précis, fourmillant de détails et très bien documenté/sourcé. Le livre contient également de nombreuses photographies, cartes et plans, eux aussi bien documentés et qui illustrent parfaitement les propos de l'auteur simultanément à ses explications. Bref pour l'instant c'est du tout bon, et je ne peux que conseiller ce livre aux personnes très intéressées par la guerre en Irak et les problématique d'insurrection/contre-insurrection en général !
