We were having a camping theme for our learning activities and singing campfire songs is all a part of it. The songs chosen for this book are appropriate, have several verses, are at a good register/key for most of us to sing along with, and at a tempo that is just right. Illustrations are cute and interesting. After using it "in class," it became an oft requested story throughout the week and at night- to the point we would have to say, "Choose TWO songs" so we didn't go through the entire book each bedtime. "The Bear Went Over the Mountain" was a hands down favorite of our youngest.
