    New Vistas into Warhols Genius

*by L***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2022*

As a long time fan of Warhol, his art and influences, the artwork here was refreshingly new! It makes me realize how emerged Warhol was into our cultural psyche, during the era of album music. Exceptional coverage of his output, just in this one genre-album covers. He really was the visionary of a generation!

Important Addition To The Warhol Canon.

*by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2017*

This is a really vital addition to the published work of Warhol. It is surprising that the compiler had to search high and low to find most of the entries in this catalog. Apparently Warhol did not keep a set of these published album covers for his own archives, which is very surprising considering what a pack-rat he was. My only complaint about this publication is that is is too large (about the actual size of the LP's themselves) and the commentary too detailed. I suppose as a scholarly work it is important to include as much as possible, but for the more casual reader such exactness can be overwhelming. All that being said, it is a very important work for anyone who loves Warhol's work. I do, and I am certainly glad to have it.

### ⭐⭐⭐

It could have been so much more.

*by M***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 15, 2021*

The book is slightly disappointing in that it could have been so much better. The Sticky Fingers cover for example deserves more pages, more pictures and larger pictures so that we can learn more about how the artwork evolved, more photo outtakes etc. The text is informative but even that could be expanded.
