I've had it for 2 days so far. The chrome-looking metallic ring on both ends of the device is cosmetic, but in my view they compromise the functionality. The cap doesn't fit securely over the slippery chrome ring at the USB end. At the pointy end, the chrome ring almost slightly interferes with secure connection if your car/motorcycle socket is in a tight space. They should just get rid of the cheap chrome rings.
