After purchasing several expensive beds, I came to realize she, like most cats, prefer plain boxes. I wanted something a bit sturdier and better looking than a box so I purchased this item. I was looking for something that wasn't another piece of cat furniture, and this was just right. My two fat Siamese cats take turns curling up inside of this bed, and they periodically claw at it, so it has definitely served its purpose. I even have to carry it upstairs at bedtime for them because they love it so much. I admitted defeat in that wasted my money.
