Bottom line, 0.3A exceeds the collector max; therefore, this transistor should not be used for a continuous 0.3A current. Find another transistor that meets you specs. **Q: What is the amplifier factor or current gain?** A: This is a transistor assortment, lots of different gains and current handling properties. Try looking at the spec sheet for each transistor listed for their specifications - it is out there, just gotta look. **Q: Why is 2n2907 labeled on the box, and described intermittently here, as an npn transistor when it's pnp by industry standard?** A: Purely and simply, this is a mis-label (a mistake) by the company labeling these transistor.
