I'm an artist and go through about one a year (both sides of all pages). What I've experienced though, is that I eventually end up passing along the second sketchbook in this set to someone else . Someone always needs a sketchbook; they're really one of the best tools to have around. Some alcohol based pens bleed through, but otherwise, these are hearty pages. And I typically sacrifice an innocent page to serve as barrier blotter, so I lose few to no pages via bleed-through. The one criticism I have is that the front, kraft paper, cover is rubbish. Consistently. My dudes: if you're not going to use an adhesive that properly adheres the cover to the spine, why bother with it at all? Just sell them as they will inevitably become, and knock a dollar off of the overall price. Theyre pretty small (maybe two iphones) It's awesome for anything u wanna use it for. Journaling, Sketching, flower pressing, even as a scrapbook if you put pictures and art in it. The possibilities are abundant. The pages are thicker than most & I had no leakage using thin/thick markers or stamps. The front flap is annoying to me because I don't have to use it but if that's something you need you're in luck. I would recommend. Deal with it! I like how I can change/design my own cover, love how I van open it almost perfectly flat. I love the texture. Mind you I wouldnt use markers or watercolor, but it will keep your colors well. Thicker that a sketchbook from Michael's, doesnt tear from erasing, and my 5 minute sketch came out fine. Then, you get 2 fat sketchbooks for the price of 1 half as thick?
