I cleaned each pan out with rubbing alcohol and let them dry completely before transferring my pigments into the pans. Some of the pans looked as though they were rusty but after cleaning them, they were perfectly fine. They fit perfectly into the MAC pro eyeshadow palette. I used magnet strips to hold them in place more securely.
