My engine is a 1996 5.7 that came with a serpentine belt system, now it has an old school V-belt pulley set up. So I did have to remove 3/16s of an inch from the sleeve. There's a fair amount of variance with water pumps and the fronts of cylinder heads so I'm not surprised it needed some trimming. The Alternator pulley lines up perfectly.
