You can shape them to fit your head so that they're perfect for you and super comfortable. Some headbands are too tight and give me headaches but not these. They are fabulous. **Q: Do these have rubber underneath the whole band?** A: The rubber on the headband is only on the tips but has small teeth around the inside were it sits on your hair to keep it in place. The rubber part can flex or bend so it fits the way you want it. I love this product and give it the 5 star. **Q: Does it bend at the ears** A: Yes, the top part is hard plastic and the part close to the ears is a metal covered in a silicone/rubber. It is pretty seamless. They weren't quite right for me, but they are still great headbands. I'm a grown woman, with thick hair below my waist, and these headbands, while still quite sturdy, were made more for little girls, I believe. They are extremely narrow, and I really wanted something wider. My bad.Even though these headbands are quite narrow, then are flexible and sturdy and very comfortable to wear. I do wear them around the house, and they stay in place. So, I will continue to wear them until they all wear out.These headbands provide great value for the money, especially if you are buying them for a child because the children in my family, at least, are always losing their headbands. If they lose one of these, you have a spare, and at this cost, it's a shame to lose one, but not a big deal. I mean it's not like they lost a diamond!These are very cute headbands, but I'll still continue my search for something wider that is a better fit for my thick, long hair.
