**Q: Can this be used for freshwater crabs as well**
A: Yes

**Q: Do these pellets sink?**
A: We put ours on the land part! When some did happen to get into the water, it floated till it became heavy and sank!

**Q: Is this for land crabs only? can it be fed to marine hermit crabs?**
A: I have land crabs only so I am not sure of the affect water would have on this product, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.  I have been using this product for the past 7 years as the primary food source and my 8 crabbies absolutely Love the stuff..

Doesn't have a potent smell. Hermies seem to like it. So I would say it's decent but I also feed them a variety of food.
