It's a pretty quick play through. I got the 3DS version because I'm a Nintendo guy, but I loved it despite its short story. There isn't much to do after its completion, but it's a great ride for a true Sonic series fan. The 3DS version has different stages than the rest, which makes it a must have, and the music is killer :) However, there's a mission mode to unlock things for the collector-types, and the versus mode is surprisingly addicting and fun, it's great to show off your Sonic platforming skills against others.
