It is very much retro looking for Leica rangefinder styled cameras, however it gives a great classic look to medium and smaller slr styled cameras, too. If I sense a weak link; the metal loop rings are brittle metal, I'd replace them with something better and not use the ends at all. This is the nicest camera strap I've ever owned, and I've had a few since the 1980's. I've tried neoprene...too hot in Florida summers. Black Rapid slings...too much goin' on there. Bought this specifically for travel, and all I can say is it really delivered. Thick leather, heavy duty hardware, fantastic stitching...a real secure feel. I traveled from Florida to Vegas, walked the strip twice, got two compliments about the DSLR camera and strap...what more could you want? I'm considering getting another just as a backup.
