My podiatrist recommended this item due to the plantar fasciitis pain I've been experiencing for many, many months. I sensed an immediate relief after walking with the insoles placed properly in my shoes. Along with the comfort from the arch support, exercise like walking became something I like to do and missed because of the pain. The thickness is perfect for me. Thankfully I did not have to cut to size down. The insole slipped easily into my gym shoes. I also wanted to add in addition to the insole bringing me happy, my podiatrist first put me on a 6-day med steroid called Methylprednisolone (4mg) Those tiny pills significantly reduced my inflammation, pain in my foot after the first pill.
