I'm still not sure if I'm adding her to my list yet.I liked the plot of this, very wonderful and emotional. The characters were wonderful, I do agree that Jane should have more backbone, but it all built up inside her and exploded in front of her selfish, superficial sister.Seth was very bitter and cold, from a past experience which made him feel very icy inside and unable to trust others. Toward the end he became annoying in his distant attitude, and I wanted to punch him and tell him to stop denying it already. It's irritating when the long-awaited love confession is on one of the last few pages.The one thing that bothered me the most, because I'm a huge grammar/spelling dork, was the bad editing. There were many, many, many errors. Example: "Her frowned, saying nothing." All you need to do is drop the "r" from what obviously was supposed to be "He." And there are other things like that all over. I would expect it from an old crappy Bertrice Small book(one of the worst "romance" authors), but this was from-what?-2008, and editors are still screwing up.I am keeping this book, because I would read it again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Book wrapped up too quickly *by O***A on Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2011* This is a great book, and I was captivated from the very first chapter. However, the ending was awful. Yeah, they lived happily-ever-after, as always, but one more chapter would have gone a long way to making the book 5 stars. As another reviewer said, it was a huge climax, the reader anticipating what was going to come next, only to have it just die.The two 'evil' characters that were depicted in this story, both claimed they would make the Jane and Seth pay for what they've done... but nothing ever happened. Three-quarters a way through the book, it kind of felt like the author was told to finish the rest of the book in an hour so she didn't have the time to wrap everything up.I read the romance novels for the plot-lines and I have found nothing that can beat The Black Knight by Connie Mason when it comes to plots. I have read that book more times than I can remember because it was just so amazingly written.This book, however, I will never read again. Desperate to find her again, he has no idea it's his childhood friend Jane--and that after one night together their lives will never be the same.*** Personal opinion ***This was a definite tear-jerky book for me and it was really THAT good that I had to cry in a couple of the chapters. The way how Seth treated Jane was just too cruel and Jane has my sympathy throughout the whole story. Her character is definitely described as a tragedy-heroine (although, probably not that dramatic but oh well). Some of the harsh dealings of Seth towards Jane were really heart-wrenching, yet Jane never gave up loving him, and I thought it was just the most beautiful thing there is. At the end, I was really glad Jane took that drastic step from Seth to make him realize his love for her. Definitely a satisfying ending. The author did a great job on this book!My only complain about the book is that the scene where Seth confesses his love to Jane was done in a little bit of a haste. I mean, I felt like Jane definitely deserved more since she suffered so much throughout the whole book.
