    SILLY MOOSE _ NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS

I like Moose so I purchased two of these for the Holidays a year ago.  They are smaller than I expected (The advertisement says 20" but my measurement from the top of the highest antler point to the bottom of the lantern is 18"). They are however, usable and versatile.  I mounted both on a wood backboard that can be removed and stored but I have had fun with them all year around.  As it is just my husband and myself, we could allow ourselves to get in the rut of not enjoying holidays but I decorate and cook for them all including birthdays, Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day, Easter, Spring, the 4th of July, Memorial Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years.  The Silly Moose have taken part the whole year.  As I am a big kid, I use Beanie Babies as accents riding behind the Moose antlers easily and as additional onlookers (I prefer the bears for all holidays except Easter where I use the bunnies and eggs).  Santa Clause mounts behind the antlers the same at Christmas.  The Lanterns can be used or not for candles or not at all.  A large wreath or greens around the Moose during the Christmas/New Year season finishes it.  This all may sound a little crazy but it keeps us spirited, alive and well.  I am rating this item as 4 Stars as I originally wanted to mount the Moose on our outside doors but one arrived broken in my original purchase (it was promptly replaced with a smile by the seller at that time,  Anecdotal Aardvark ).  Looking at the broken parts (one antler had broken off) you could see that the metal is porous, not really solid as you would expect.  At that point I considered them somewhat fragile and as they would have taken abuse by doors being opened and shut I opted to mount and display them inside where they aren't kicked around a lot.  So, if you are a little crazy and like Moose, you can get a boost of fun from a Silly Moose display in your home as well.  RSBlain
