Sold in a convenient bulk pack of 500, these biodegradable bowls offer an eco-friendly alternative to plastic and Styrofoam, breaking down within 30 days in commercial composting facilities. Perfect for professionals seeking sustainable, durable, and versatile disposable tableware. ## Description Disposable, compostable and biodegradable bowls made from 100-percent Bagasse: sugarcane fiber remaining after Extraction of juice from the sugarcane. Sugarcane is not only a readily renewable resource, but the sugarcane fiber can be turned into products normally made from plastic or paper and avoids the pollution from normal burning of sugarcane pulp after juice Extraction. These compostable bowls are soak proof, have no plastic or wax lining applied to it and can be used for both hot and cold items. Please note, that though these biodegradable bowls are soak proof, hot items will cause the bowls to "perspire" and some condensation will form at the bottom of the bowls. A far superior alternative to Styrofoam and plastic (non-biodegradable, petroleum derived, Pollutant) and paper bowls made from cutting down trees. Please note that the bowl lids fit loosely, and using the bowls with lids for take out is not recommended for hot liquid foods. Also, due to the exterior texture, bowls may stick together and require some effort to separate them. Please note, composting is required for biodegradation. These compostable bowls will biodegrade within 30 days in a commercial composting facility and within 90 days in a home composting system. Review: Great Soup Bowls - Despite the negative reviews, I took a chance and purchased these bowls for an event. Thankfully they worked perfectly, small enough to allow room on the plate for bread, crackers, etc yet large enough to hold plenty of soup. The review about them leaking had me concerned, so I tested them as soon as they were delivered. I poured boiling water into one and allowed it to sit for an hour.. absolutely no leaks! They are great quality, have a unique look and are perfectly sized! Review: Nope - Thin, lightweight, hat to double them-theres better out there ## Features - World Centric wood pulp and corn 12-ounce barrel bowl, 500 ct. ### ⭐ Nope *by L***N on March 24, 2025* Thin, lightweight, hat to double them-theres better out there ### ⭐ Do not use for hot liquid!!! Despite being "perfect for soup" *by R***. on July 19, 2013* We purchased this product recently. We filled with soup, not boiling. It immediately turned a dark color and began to leak, and later, began dissolving. It will be sent back. I have a video if interested. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/14065497-bb-sc-u12-100-compostable-unbleached-plant-fiber-soup-barrel](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/14065497-bb-sc-u12-100-compostable-unbleached-plant-fiber-soup-barrel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
