You set the little numbers on the inside of the remote to match the numbers on your genie hold the button until it turns a greenish yellow press the first button on top of the remote to set it as the primary open and close button and then press and hold the little button inside the back of the remote by the battery for like 2 seconds. When it flashes it's set. I've never been so excited in my life. Lol. I have called the original garage door company to come and set it up initially but when they got here they did not have the proper remotes and stated they don't even sell them anymore. I hopped on Amazon so fast and it was here the same day. It was Christmas for me. My 8-year-old was so glad because he said Mommy I can't keep getting out to open this garage door.
