I’ve tripped and fallen countless times getting in and out of my percussion jungle. Any chance I have to make something simpler and faster to setup and tear down, I jump at it. As you see in the pics, I fastened a DW Bass Drum Hoop clamp high on the bass drum so I can direct the mic towards the beater on the batter side. This helps when you’re having issues with too much low end causing volume issues, imho. The DW clamp is designed and comes with a DW claw hook, but I was extremely fortunate the Tama claw hook replaced the DW claw hook flawlessly. Also, the DW L rod O.D. is reduced on one side, which was too small for the Gibraltar SC-DMM Nylon Clamp to clamp on to. Hence, the reason for the one star reduction, BUT…it created a perfect opportunity to use a section of 3/8" rubber fuel line to shim it with. It also reduces the vibration from the bass drum tenfold. Overall, this worked perfectly for me and I’d recommend this product to anyone needing a solid and simple mic mounting solution on the cheap. I love Gibraltar’s attention to detail, they’re extremely passionate about the products they build, and I love using them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great way to hang mic's on a drum rack *by A***I on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2021* Works great and a great value. ### ⭐⭐ not a solid product. *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2021* This It obviously wasn't made to to fit a 1.5" tube- so most drum racks. Brackets are made of cheap plastic. Bolt for the mic thread bar was very loose. I had to put some toothpicks in to shim it so it was solid, and wouldn't rotate and make noise. Too bad there are no other options.
