I have one and it says on the description elaboration date 03/11/13. If you can help me would be great. Thanks** A: I have used this product for over 30 years. Some cans are 8 to 10 years old & the contents are as good as the day I bought them.Great Product. **Q: What is the proper primer for this product?** A: This is a coating for bare metal. I wouldn't use it over the top of a primer. **Q: Need to recoat an old fashioned televison tower, about 20 feet high. Would I need one can or two?** A: I would go with 2 cans if it were me. 20' high and whatever the diameter of the tower will eat up 1 can pretty quickly. The other factor is how heavy or how light you apply this.. Obviously heavier will use more product. **Q: how well does this coating stand up to high heat ? maybe 1200 degrees** A: I used it on tailpipes. They get hot. My can says 350 degrees F continuous and 750 degrees F intermittent dry heat. One thing to note, I am doing antenna sections that are 10 feet long. I bought two cans thinking that would be ample for a 45 foot antenna. In actuality one can goes about 10 to 15 feet but if you really want to put it on good go for 10 feet. I’m ordering two more cans. The product does look very good though, and I am pleased with the purchase, even though it is obviously quite expensive, but what isn’t nowadays? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good primer *by R***9 on November 20, 2020* Worked very well for me. Only thing you should know going in is that it dries to a very flat light gray finish. On some things I have top coated with Rustoleum dark steel and been very pleased with the outcome.
