**Q: I wood carve and the tools are very sharp will these gloves protect my hands ?**
A: Yes, it took me about 20 cuts with low to medium pressure to cut through the glove using a brand new carbide razor blade; I tried to get the cuts in the same groove or spot every time, these are excellent gloves that i'd recommend to anyone needing cut resistance.  I bought a heavy duty Ansell glove for testing, comparing the two, the more expensive Ansell glove was trash.

A: Yes the gloves are machine washable.  Here are the care instructions as were sent to me by their customer service rep:Care Instructions*These gloves are machine washable*To prevent fiber breakdown we recommend you DO NOT the following:Do Not IronDo Not BleachDo Not Machine DryMaximum Wash Temperature: 104 F (40 C)Safety TipIf you're using sharp tool/object, avoid direct contact and/or stabbing directly with the end points. These gloves are cut-resistent, not stab/punture resistent. You should not use these gloves for operating heavy machinery.I'm super satisfied with them so far using them with my mandolin slicer. Hope this helps!

**Q: Will these protect against mandolin cuts?**
A: My wife uses it mainly for the mandolin and while it still hurts to hit the blade while slicing, you will not get cut or nicked by the blade.

**Q: what size would I buy?**
A: I'd buy a size larger than normal.
