The standard iphone white headphones that come with my phone finally gave out after a few years, and I am not too picky of a person, but wanted something better than the cheapy cheap freebie ones. I chose these headphones specifically for the price, with the intent that if they suck I will buy something in the 30-40/sony name brand range and live and learn. (If the amazon price fluctuates, I paid 8.99 for these) I don’t know if it’s just me, but after wearing those old iphone ones for a few hours, my ear always started to ache a little bit. I don’t know if it’s sheer laziness, but I didn’t ever seek better headphones…perhaps it’s more that I didn’t find it super cumbersome, and assumed, well, I’m sticking something in my ear, it can’t be pleasant, right? HOWEVER, since ordering these, I can say epiphany! I didn’t really know headphones could be comfortable. They are! They fit in your ear really well and doesn’t feel weird. Quality is great. (I am no audiophile, but they sound clearer than my old ones) They are not the prettiest, if that’s one thing you are looking for. The cord itself is kind of dark grey/brown transparent where you can see the wires through. It doesn’t bother me though, and looks different, and I have grown to like it. Also, where the cord bends for your ear, they put on extra bendy protection plastic, it feels like they will last a while-they’re really surprising quality for the price. Also, they don’t tangle like my old headphones used to. They’re awesome for the price. I am considering ordering another one and stashing it like a weirdo for when these break. Also, you get a little zippered case with extra squishy ear things and a clip so you can clip it to your shirt. The over-the-ear design means fewer snags and hang ups while moving around.Sound quality puts my old favorites to shame.The durability test is still ongoing, but it has been several weeks. If I can get 4 or more months out of these with my heavy use, I will consider them to be well worth paying full price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My new favorite earphones! *by B***Y on November 9, 2017* Update 01/19/19 I've bought 5 pairs in the past year and a half and I STILL LOVE these earphones! They are my new favorite inexpensive earphones. They feel so light-almost like not wearing anything at all! I sleep with earphones on at night to be able to both listen to audio and hear my alarm without keeping my spouse awake. I'm a light sleeper, so I need the earphones to block out outside noise. It is SO HARD to find any that are comfortable and don't hurt. I have to buy several sets a year because they are always breaking from being worn while sleeping. So far these earphones have been PERFECT! They block out noise so well with the medium fluted tips. They don't hurt when I lay on my ear. And the earphone cable isn't brittle like others that would break on me and they seem pretty flexible so I don't think they will. I loved them SO MUCH I bought 2 extra pairs! One for the car and another to give to my teenage daughter so she can blast her iPod without the rest of us having to hear!
