The reason I bought this in the first instance was because my dog has been diagnosed with early stage kidney disease. Zoar doesn't have any symptoms, but all the research suggests prevention is the key and low phosphorous food with high quality protein is helpful in slowing the progression of the disease. This product is full of high quality fish and was among the lowest phosphorous containing product I found mentioned in my research. No problems at all. Very pleased with the quality of the food. Also, the food is much richer than many kibbles, so you'll feed less.
