The manufacturer has tried to over engineer this inflatable back belt and has failed. It seems as if this belt is a NEW DESIGN that replaces the older one. The older design had a hand pump with gauge. It's inflator hose fit directly in to the side of the belt with a quick release twist lock fastener. It worked perfectly. This new one does not!Hare are the things wrong with this one.- The crazy plastic piece that dominates the front of the belt is very uncomfortable and prevents being able to bend over at all. It is not flat and looks terrible if you are trying to wear it under clothes.- The pump that is included never let me inflate the belt past the mid point and never felt tight enough- This belt has an attached hose that comes out of the belt and them couples with the hose for the hand pump. The old design was better that had the hand pump hose that connected directly to the quick-release connector on the belt.- There is some complex type of pulley system concealed in the above mentioned plastic "belt buckle" looking contraption. It is supposed to be for the user to tighten the belt but is really not needed and is overkill. It just results in added bulk and discomfort.- The instructions are clearly printed in China. Why is it so hard just to get an instruction manual to make sense??? I would be happy to proof read and make corrections before these things are printed. It would be good for a laugh if my back was not HURTING so much because if have to return this belt.Of course your results may vary and you may not be concerned about the above issues but I just wish this belt worked and felt better. Be sure to total relax and the belt will do the rest! It was a nice light to medium stretch of the lower back, good for beginners with slight lower back pain.
