On top of the moisturizing the leather, it also added the faint hint of cocoa scent. The scent would dissipate over time. I combine it with shea and mango butter, and it gives the finished body butter a rich, creamy texture that feels incredibly moisturizing, especially on areas that tend to get extra dry.The cocoa butter comes as a solid block, so I melt down what I need before mixing and whipping everything together. It does take a little more effort than using a regular lotion, but for DIY skincare, that’s exactly what I expected.I also love the natural cocoa scent. It’s noticeable without needing to add fragrance, and my skin feels soft and moisturized after using the finished body butter.The 8 oz size is plenty for multiple batches, since a little goes a long way. If you make your own body butters, balms or other skincare products, this is a great ingredient to keep on hand.
