You just cant produce a casting with detailed lettering using stainless steel. If this were stainless, they would have to charge about $80 for it. **Q: Rome's pie iron is basically 2 pieces that form one piece. Is this one piece or also 2 ? Has the rememberable saucer shape that was hard to find, among all the square ones made today. The only problem is that the handles and latch are terrible. The latch is on the handles instead of the pole/arm and it keeps popping off. The handles themselves keep sliding and turning. It is really annoying but workable.
