Very easy to handle. **Q: How are these bound together? Do you use adhesive or sap?** A: They are bound together into cubes **Q: Are these as large and as firm as kaytees version?** A: I have yet to find cubes as firm as the Kaytee cubes. The SPS cubes actually look more like compressed Timothy Hay, smell great (to me), are smaller in piece size and fall apart easily. Even with the alfalfa hay in the KayTee cubes I continue to offer them and sticks for dental maintenance. Although the Buns go bonkers for the Small Pet Select ‘Crack Cereal’ Timothy Hay pellet food they are not interested in the SPS Timothy Hay cubes. **Q: is this good for my pony?** A: I would say that your pony needs good quality fresh hay. These cubes are for guinea pigs and rabbits only. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Success! *by R***B on July 22, 2026* Cheaper bags of hay were wasted since my rabbits refused to eat the required amounts. The first cube I offered them was eaten immediately. Success! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Some breakage, but otherwise good. *by J***S on November 26, 2025* My critters absolutely love these. There is some breakage/crumbling in the package, but that is to be expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty decent for the price but smaller than I expected *by S***P on August 9, 2023* Monthly I order 8 lb of hay from small pet select for my two guinea pigs. This time around I noticed the cubes and decided to order a bag of Timothy cubes for them since the quality of the regular hay is good. I have no doubt the quality on the cubes is good as well, although they are mini sized cubes. Pictured are one of the pet select cubes next to one of the Kaytee cubes you would buy from the pet store. As you can see they are very small to what most people consider a normal sized hay cube. Overall they smell fresh and my guinea pigs like them, just don't be surprised when they come a bit smaller and crumblier than ones you would buy at the pet store. I would say this bag will last my two guinea pigs about a month or two as a treat which is good for the price. Overall I would definitely recommend for small pets especially if you already order from small pet select anyway like I do. ## Frequently Bought Together - Small Pet Select - Straight Timothy Hay Cubes - 100% All Natural Timothy Hay, Not Blended - Delivered Fresh, Guarantee, (5 lb) - Oxbow Animal Health Natural Science Digestive Support, High Fiber Supplement for Rabbit & Guinea Pig, Made with Timothy Hay, Includes Chicory Root, Ginger Root, Chamomile, Made in USA, 4.2 oz Bag - Kaytee Timothy Hay Blend Cubes for Pet Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chinchillas, and Other Small Animals, 1 Pound --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/134508911-small-pet-select-straight-timothy-hay-cubes-100-all-natural](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/134508911-small-pet-select-straight-timothy-hay-cubes-100-all-natural) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
