As a starter bench, it's great. It's easy to put together I think (then again, I'm a mechanic & have some pretty good tools). If you have trouble using a screwdriver &/or have issues putting together IKEA furniture, I don't recommend this for you then. The instructional drawings could be a little better with close up shots of certain key joints/sections, but again... not rocket science. It's been holding up pretty well with the barbells and weight's I'm using. The major drawback is the size. If you are over average height, this is a small bench. You will find yourself cramp/crammed in & limited in some actions and movements. The widest point, the barbell rest, is very short. I'm using a 3' foot long bar, & the weights are clanging into the sides of the rests constantly. I have to shift how I hold the barbell in order to make sure I don't knock them into stuff.Despite it's "shortcomings" the bench feels secure, & is holding up well. I quickly see myself outgrowing this thing, but again, for the price I paid, & that it's a "beginner/novice/neophyte" type of bench, I cannot complain. If you're a pro, you know better & stay away. If you're like me, someone who just started, needs something at home to help keep in shape, or has limited space & funds... this is a decent starter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect width so I can actually grip the bar where I want *by Z***. on August 19, 2016* It's a great sturdy bench so far. I weigh about 190 and have used it to benchpress over 300 pounds and it seemed to have no trouble at all supporting me safely. I'm giving it 4 stars because it came with a mismatched piece that is pretty important to the bench's stability. At the center of the bottom cross bar (between the two racks) where the middle of the t shape is made, there is a piece of metal that caps over the back while the bar that supports the back pad caps over the front and the bolts are inserted straight through all 3 parts. It was the piece of metal on the back that was too small and the holes for the bolts weren't even lined up. But it was an easy fix if you know how to use a hammer and a drill. Would recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bench and fast delivery !! *by E***N on June 24, 2015* This bench is amazing very strong and heavy I love it and delivery was so fast was very impressed and was easy to put together thnxx u --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/13406357-home-gym-strength-mid-width-weight-exercise-barbell-bench-fitness](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/13406357-home-gym-strength-mid-width-weight-exercise-barbell-bench-fitness) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
