Review: Very elegant - This Sharp microwave drawer is super convenient and easy to use in my new kitchen. It opens smoothly and fits nicely into the kitchen without crowding the counter. Heats food quickly and makes everyday cooking a bit more enjoyable.
Review: Fantastic. Easy to install - Fantastic. Easy to install, but know that you will most likely need to cut your cabinet. Note: if you're installing new cabinets, take note of where the microwave face will attach (2 screws on each side) to the cabinet and mark them. Why? If you are fastening a new cabinet on either side of the microwave cabinet, you don't want to put a screw in the way of the screw that mounts the microwave to the cabinet. I recommend reading the installation instructions before purchasing. You'll need an outlet in the back of the cabinet (duh), which may not be easy to install in existing cabinetry. You also need to fasten an "anti-tip" block in the upper right corner. Again, much easier to do with new cabinets than existing. I'd never go back to a counter top microwave nor an over the stove microwave. The "reheat" function works very well--leave the top off of the container, let the microwave sense the heat/moisture and cover the food for a minute after it's done cooking and you'll have nicely warmed food. In other words, follow the directions and it works.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How can the volume of the 24" width and the 30" width both be 1.2 cu ft?  Is the wide one lower?**
A: Standard widths for kitchen cabinets are 24" and 30".  Some manufacturers offer the same 24" wide device with a wider door so it will fill a 30" wide cabinet space.

**Q: How tall of a bowl can I use?  I can't seem to find the inside dimensions..**
A: I believe 7" is maximum height.

**Q: They say the control panel can be obstructed by counters sticking out too far. Has anyone had this problem? What is the overhang of your counters?**
A: good question.  Mine is mounted 1/2" below the overhanging countertop (1/2" gap between very top of MW stainless face and the countertop).   The countertop overhangs 1 and 3/4" inches.   It is not a problem as currently mounted.   I could see, though, how if the overhang was a half-inch more, it would be somewhat visually obstructive, but still not a show-stopper for a 5'10" person.   In any case, the shorter the person, the less of a problem any "overhang" will be.

**Q: Does anyone have the "venting problem" where condensation from steam exiting the bottom vents damage the cabinets below the microwave?**
A: For this model, the 24", you should have the 24" Flush Mount Deflector Vent: SKMD24F0AS.  Call a local, premium appliance retailer and they can have it for you in 24 hours or call 800-BE-SHARP.

Fantastic. Easy to install, but know that you will most likely need to cut your cabinet.
