The heel height is perfect, it's not to low like a kitten heel but not so high that you can't walk in them. I normally wear a size 9 and ordered these in a 9.5 because of the pointy toe. I would definitely size up in these shoes to be more comfortable and if you have wide feet these probably aren't for you. I looked at about 10 pairs of black pumps before purchasing these and am glad I went with these. They are a great value for the price here on Amazon.
