## Description

Create the perfect cake with T-fal's AirBake Nonstick Cake Pan. AirBake brand has always been "The Original Insulated Bakeware". AirBake continues to provide the best baking results every time. AirBake Nonstick provides an overall enhanced baking performance with its insulated aluminum sheets and micro-dome technology to decrease bake times by up to 15% over traditional insulated bakeware. Two heavyweight aluminum steel sheets with a nonstick surface surround a layer of air. The air reduces the temperature of the metal that comes in contact with the food. The bottom sheet blocks the direct oven heat while the layer of air acts as an insulator preventing the top sheet from overheating. This means better browning, no burning, and moister baked goods. Insulated bakeware means cookies won't burn and the nonstick surface means clean-up is a breeze. Pan measures 13-inches x 9-inches x 2.25-inches. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Before using your bakeware for the first time, wash and condition the bakeware by spreading one teaspoon of cooking oil over the interior with a clean cloth. Wipe off any excess. Avoid overheating your bakeware. In order to preserve and avoid scratches on your coating, we recommend the use of plastic utensils. Slight surface marks or abrasions are normal and will not affect the performance of the non-stick coating. With use, the non-stick surface may become slightly darker. This will not impair its performance. AirBake is designed to breathe and is not watertight. However, AirBake is dishwasher safe. DO NOT USE DISHWASHER DETERGENT TABS - the concentrated cleaning agents will damage the bakeware's finish. DO NOT SOAK - if water is inside pan layer, there is a risk of burning from steam release. If your pan has water inside the two sheets, place the pan upside down in a 250-degree oven for 30 minutes or until water is removed.

Original review: I really like this AirBake Nonstick Cake pan with cover. The cover is so convenient to have instead of trying to cover half eaten tray of cinnamon roll or coffee cake with plastic wrap. I just made a sour cream coffee cake with blueberries in this and it turned out wonderfully. I was thinking of baking it in my Emile Henry pan at first but this has been my go to pan for baking since I got it weeks ago because of the cover and the way things turn out nicely in it - not dry or crusty. I have yet to make lasagna or something like that in it. It's only been desserts - jello poke cake, coffee cake, etc. I will probably keep it that way as the Emile Henry clay rectangular bake pans are probably better for casserole, lasagna and the like. Btw, I should add that the lid is very interesting to take off. If you try to pry it off on the narrower ends you'll have a hard time of it. If you hold it by the long ends, it comes right off. I love that because if you're carrying it, it's usually by the two ends that are short and with this lid design you won't accidentally pop the lid off as you carry it somewhere.

My cakes come out very moist and perfect every time. I make cakes for my husband and his coworkers and I like that I can leave them in the pan and not have to worry about the pan getting damaged, there is no nonstick coating to worry about and I love the lid. I always use Baker's Joy and have never had any problems with sticking. The only problem that I have had was that I made a lasagna in one and took it to a relative, they left it sitting in the frig for several days and the tomato based sauce etched at the aluminum. It was both of our faults, my relative for been lazy (and nasty) and mine for putting a tomato based product into aluminum, I should have known better. I have purchased several of these over the years and I have given them as gifts, they're always loved and appreciated. I do not place these in the dishwasher, hand wash only and have never submerged them in water for any length of time but if it does get water inside of it just stand it on its corner and let it completely drain and air dry. Never use if it has water inside of it, it will steam the food instead of baking it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I bake more dessert now

Another Update: It's been a year and a half of heavy use and the non-stick coating has started to come off. I don't blame the manufacturer. I've taken this non-stick airbake cake pan to so many potlucks and bake sales where it probably came under less than gentle handling that I feel I got my money's worth. I'm back to purchase another but this time may try the "Natural" coating although it doesn't seem to have as many rave reviews. Update: This is an excellent, excellent pan for baking desserts. I recently took brownies baked in this pan to a potluck and people went nuts over it. They were the same box mix brownies from Costco I had always made but in this pan they weren't crusty and dried up but just fudgy and rich and chewy. I never knew pans made such a difference! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a Great Product- Great for BBQ's!!

I bought several of these as gifts. I gave one to each of the BBQ-ers in my family and each family get together they ALL pull out their 'favorite BBQ pan' "What was I doing without one of these????" they all say. After grilling up your favs you can place the food in this handy pan and your food stays super hot! You can pull carne asada off the grill, place in the pan, then cut into strips. No need to dirty a cutting board. It will easily fit 4 ribeyes + some grilled veggies or potatoes in one use. The metal is very sturdy and the lid snaps on and off easily using the lid tab. I have never used these pans to bake a cake and will never do so as the pan metal is not conducive to baking fluffy sweets. I would be worried the cake wouldn't bake properly and burn before it was finished- same goes for a lasagna or brownies. Stick to using glass pans, ceramic, or corningware for baking. The 4 pack makes for a great deal: keep some for you and give the others as gifts. It is a very unique gift!
