Thanks.** A: No it has a different weaving to it but you can see through it and would as a screen but to thick to use screen tracking it would need to be secured differently **Q: does this product mold?** A: I used it on my patio over the Winter months to block the wind and snowy weather. It worked very well and no mold or mildew. **Q: What is the weight of the item** A: As a user, I can only answer that it is light weight. We use it as a shade on our back screened-in porch.
