Review: Very nice for a hand rubbed, oil finish on wood - I have used this stuff for years, but it is getting hard to find lately. I was happy to find it here on desertcart. Very easy to apply, just wipe on a fairly heavy coat, let it soak in for a while, then wipe off the excess. This is a penetrating finish that soaks into the wood, not a finish that sits on the surface like lacquer or varnish, so if you are looking for a glossy finish, this won’t work. But if you want a hand rubbed, oil finish, that doesn’t streak, goes on quick, very easy to apply, dries fast, and doesn’t give off strong fumes while it’s drying, this is what you need. Comes in several colors too

A: This number is Golden Oak the company listing these items originally only used the natural image for all items.

**Q: What does lo voc mean?**
A: Low "volatile organic compounds"

Roughly translated its low amount of potentially harmful vapor from being emitted.

**Q: I have maple splines in the walnut I was wondering will it ruin the maple?**
A: It will darken the Naples so that it will no longer look like maple. It will also darken the walnut likely more than you want. This product is not for walnut. It is for making lighter woods appear to be walnut.

**Q: Would this product prevent mildew in unfinished headboard?**
A: I think this product is great. By itself I don’t think it would prevent mildew but together with a water based polyurethane You should be in business if applied properly. Use enough coats of the polyurethane after you get the desired stain color.

I have used this stuff for years, but it is getting hard to find lately. I was happy to find it here on Amazon. Very easy to apply, just wipe on a fairly heavy coat, let it soak in for a while, then wipe off the excess. This is a penetrating finish that soaks into the wood, not a finish that sits on the surface like lacquer or varnish, so if you are looking for a glossy finish, this won’t work. But if you want a hand rubbed, oil finish, that doesn’t streak, goes on quick, very easy to apply, dries fast, and doesn’t give off strong fumes while it’s drying, this is what you need.
