The easiest way to use it is to warm it in hot water for a few minutes which will keep the scoop cutting through frozen ice cream, sherbet, and gelato almost as easy as butter. The liquid inside the scoop keeps warm for an extended period and is assisted by your hand's warmth as well.We really like the scoop, though we wish it were a little bigger. Nonetheless, the performance has been perfect and we only removed one star for the size.That all being said this is a very SOLID Four Star rating. Call it 4.8. As such, we give it an honest and very hearty recommendation and a letter grade of A-.
