The whole thing is tweaked now and the center does not contact the screen at all. I will get a plastic screen protector elsewhere and that should work just fine.My husband has the same case (his came with a plastic protector and it works fine). He has had his for a few months now. He works in scaffolding, and has dropped his phone from high places a few times and has never had an issue.This case is a little heavy and bulky, but I'm 100% okay with that as I know how well it protects my very expensive phone. I have never had a case that lasts more than a few drops without breaking, I know this one can withstand a whole lot more than any plastic case out there.Wireless charging works just fine, neither of us have had any issues. The phone gets a little warm while charging, but it hasn't affected usability or battery life thus far. ### ⭐⭐ Case cracks edges of screen protector! *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2019* The case is interesting. Thicker than expected. High ridges on top an bottom of the screen side keep the surface from touching a table or ground. Foam core nestles around the phone snuggly and the metal frame is screwed together with hex bolts. Seems very secure and rugged. Jack port looks like it could easily break off or torque the bolt that holds it in place. The biggest problem is that bolting the front and back plates together destroys the screen protector by snapping and cracking the corners or causing some bowing and popping the middle long edge of the screen up making the screen protector worse than useless. The fingerprint spot is cool, but so what if the screen protector is cracked! Another issue is the foam which makes it hard to use the power button. May be a hidden blessing, too soon to tell. I am upset that my new case is already marred by packing tape over the cracks in the screen protector. I'll see whether or not a different screen protector works any better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks nice, but a challenge to assemble. *by O***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2019* This rating should be about 3.5 overall. The case is attractive and solid... very solid. The problem was installing the phone into the case. Removing the screws was ok, but when placing the phone into the rubber protection and then remounting the outer case, the power button would bind and not release unless the corner screw was fully loosened; then the power button worked perfectly, but this was a less than satisfactory option. after 40 minutes and 8 or 9 times removing and reinstalling the tiny screws, I finally solved the issue by using a utility blade to trim the sealing around the power button where it presses against the case. It now functions properly... but I shouldn't have had to take these measures to install the phone into this case.
