The EYE LEVEL READING RULER is a coloured overlay filter and text highlighter about the size of a six-inch ruler that will fit easily into a pocket of pencil case, or can be kept in the pages of a book as a bookmark. Discreet and not childish-looking, the reading ruler is made of a combination of opaque and transparent plastic that both underlines the text and highlights it in a coloured tint. Simply read the text through either of the tinted plastic strips of your selected colour, and track down the page: broad strip for paragraphs; narrow strip for single lines. Narrow (app. 1 cm) strip for highlighting single lines of text Broad (app. 2.5 cms) strip for scanning ahead in a paragraph, and for studying diagrams, tables, columns of figures etc. Text marker (a solid line on the edge of the broad strip) for tracking down a paragraph Colours can be combined to create up to 30 tints Ideal for all ages - nursery to adult. School, college, home or office use. Easy to store; inexpensive to buy New Features and Improvements to the Reading Rulers this Year: Slightly larger size of 205mm x 80mm New design with re-calibrated colours More scratch resistant Individually sleeved Recyclable Manufactured in environmentally-friendly PET instead of PVC. Review: These are my favorite reading rulers for the class. - Other reading rulers just have a line. These have a bar which can be used to block out text above or below. This is a bigger help for my dyslexic readers who need to block out text. From watching my readers, it's pretty 50/50. 1. Some use the bar to block text where they're reading, so the ruler is under the text. 2. Some use the bar to block text >above< where they're reading, so the ruler is above the text. 3. My non-dyslexic readers often use the ruler just to follow along and keep their place when we're reading. I like to read ahead, so I like the second way. Review: Perfect for struggling readers - Very helpful for students who struggle with reading and need to read line by k\line without losing their space. ## Features - 10 x 1 of Each Color, Duo Window Reading Ruler Overlay. They work great for regular size print but for my students who need things printed a bit larger the line is too small.
