Confused? Don't be, if you have an 80's or 90's XT with a hydraulic front brake, this is what threads into that reverse thread hole. Can be threaded into any Yamaha front brake master cylinder/perch, but these "fold away" mirrors are more for "enduros" and dual-sports, as they won't break-off on the trail. The OEM rigid mount mirrors are great...until you snap-off half the threaded hole! These mirrors are hard to find, try your local cycle shop...kid behind the counter be all "huh?"And for those complaining the ball snaps off the end of the steel arm...flip the package over; detailed instructions for "Adjust ball joint tension". Really people, use some common sense before slamming the product lol. Two 17mm open-ended wrenches will be needed, make it just tight enough to not move in the wind. Excellent mirror for the money, even the corrugated boot perfectly matches my XT's original lever boots.
