Can each shelf really hold 175 pounds, with all shelves full of that weight?** A: No shelves are not sturdy! Mine are bowed! **Q: Can the bottom shelf be removed?** A: It technically could, but you would have the 4 small posts on the ground without much support. The bottom shelf sits on the floor and holds the bottom legs together. It's heavy duty, but we still secured it to the wall for added stability. Assembly was a snap. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good shelves for lighter storage. *by D***N on February 26, 2015* Fast shipping. These shelves are not a tough as more expensive versions and you should use a block of wood between the uprights and hammer to keep them from breaking when assembling (which is very easy). Great product for the price, just don't expect to load them more then the specs. They should last forever and not sag with a load of only 100 pounds (1/2 the spec).
