Used it today to clean a large portion of the house. It seems to have the same suction strength, and so far no change in duration of charge. Time will tell if I it holds up as well as the factory battery, which was working great after 2 years of frequent use (until daughter knocked it over and cracked the battery base....) The only curious observation (not necessarily a complaint), is when the trigger is held down.... it takes my vacuum about half a second to a second for the suction to come on. With my original battery, as soon as the trigger was squeezed, the vacuum turned on. Huh? But! Since batteries aren't available anymore on the Dyson website for my unit, this is an excellent alternative. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ {Not so}Great replacement battery for V8 *by O***2 on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2019* Before I installed the new battery I completely cleaned the V8. I let it dry over night. After install the battery works like a champ. I was able to vacuume downstairs and upstairs and still had battery life. I will update if the life is less than acceptable but for now it is awesome. After two months of using this battery and having to pull the trigger very hard it is no not working well at all. Stay away from this product and buy a different brand ### ⭐⭐⭐ It works but... *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2019* The battery works and fits for the most part; it looks and is almost identical to the factory battery except the triggering mechanism isn't as precise as Dyson's original. You have to squeeze on it harder for it to work so, it loses the quick/easy triggering function it originally had. I ended up returning it because of that. It does fit and work otherwise, also power seemed equivalent.
