BAGIS Yakgwa I 2pack (21.6oz, 600g) I Korean Traditional Grain Syrup-Glazed Fried Dough Snack

It seems impossible to find decent yakgwa on Amazon. I've tried several kinds from different sellers and I always get very stale & hard cookies or cookies that are two weeks from expiring.I've now ordered from this seller 4 times and it's been very consistent so far. Always soft and pleasant taste. It will never be as good as freshly made, but that's ok. These go will with tea or coffee or as a quick snack.

These taste awful. Like wax. Zero flavor, unpleasant texture. Yakgwa are supposed to be a crispy, fried honey biscuit cookie. These are chewy, taste like wax and don't even have honey in them. It's not really the seller's fault. They're just gross.

I had wanted to try these for so long after watching my favorite YouTubers eat them, and so I decided to get these on a whim. I tried them and it’s actually pretty good! I was expecting them to be glossy with honey like the picture, but it’s not. It is more on the dry side, but it didn’t bother me. For sweetness, it’s not that sweet but that makes it easy to just snack on. Overall I like them, and would recommend!

I read some reviews that say this cookie isn't a cookie, and that it's not sweet and tastes like flour. I will disagree. It's a Korean cookie made the way it is supposed to be with the ingredients it is supposed to have. It tastes like how it should. It's not meant to taste like it has a pound of sugar in it. It's honey-sweet and it's just like how I remember this cookie should taste.

What initially led me to buy these are from the mukbang influencers on YT , I guess they eat the freshly made ones so it’s soaked in syrup which is more sticky.I bought the small ones from another seller on Amazon and they where hard and terrible so I thought to try the larger ones since the comment section mentioned them to be softer.They come in 2 packs and are on the larger size.If you are dieting or don’t like fried flavor desserts then this is not for you.These are oily, doughy,soft,fried flavor taste with the right amount of sweetness.They are super rich and heavy on the tummy so 1 is enough otherwise you start to feel sick to your tummy.Would I buy them again nope because they are not good for anyone’s health, did I enjoy them yes sure.

Out of about 5 brands of yakgwa we have purchased on Amazon, we liked these best. Not incredibly sweet but sweet enough, super chewy and fresher than the other brands we have tried. These are larger sized, too and traditionally shaped. If you like yakgwa, we think you might like these.

Loved that these were still soft unlike some of the mini ones I’ve bought before (they were likely old honestly). They are really delicious. They do taste greasy so just keep that in mind, still tasty though!

It was an oil rock. Every count was dried like a rock and had a strong oil smell. I know how this originally tasted like, soft/chewy/sweet, but this was not at all. I threw them all. Not worth a penny.
