In acceptance tests, 3 simultaneous video transcodes were done to a variety of devices at different resolutions with no loss of quality. **Q: What is the disk setup?** A: The FreeNAS Mini 8TB system comes with 4 x 2TB drives. Your usable capacity will be determined by how you setup the ZFS RAID. Setting up a RAIDz will provide you with 6TB of usable space. **Q: What brand and model of disks does it come with?** A: I ordered 4 drives that were 2TB each, all 4 drives were the same model. I used the following command in FreeNas to find out what model my drives were. smartctl -a /dev/ada0 | grep model Model Family: Western Digital Red Device Model: WDC WD20EFRX-68EUZN0 **Q: Does it works with 220V 50hz?** A: Yes it does. After two years, a minor problem developed, and the iXsystems support was absolutely superb in furnishing a replacement part quickly and advising how to best replace the part. With their careful advice, I lost absolutely no data!! This is a well thought-out device, well engineered, easy to use and above all, highly reliable as an important back-up device upon which the user can rely. Equally important is the superb technical support this company offersβ€”their technicial staff is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with. You really want the disks inside this thing to run below 40C and not the upper 50 degrees I was getting. I even upgraded the fan to a Noctua and still had the same issues. I am using a desk fan pointed at the front, and I have the case slightly cracked about 2 inches to get below 40C temperatures.
